This painting, based on the maquette for my public sculpture Marvelous Mussels, continues my exploration of translation across media. By reinterpreting a sculptural study through paint, the work examines how processes of filtration, reflection, and perception can unsettle fixed hierarchies of scale, ecology, and aesthetics to reveal the subtle, interconnected rhythms that shape both human and nonhuman worlds.
