During lockdown, I began painting glaciers I could not visit in person. Using Google Earth, I traversed Antarctica’s Pine Island glacier to translate satellite data into paint. This process became a kind of remote plein air, where technology bridged distance and imagination, allowing me to reflect on both the fragility and vastness of these transforming landscapes.
